Today whilst driving I pondered how is it that I (dare I say we?) cannot sit still and revel in the moment, really live in the moment?
How is that I can have read Ann Voskamp's book One Thousand Gifts only a month ago ,whose byline is 'a dare to live fully right where you are' and still be stuck in a place that so easily sneaks a peek at my neighbors life?
O that we would rise to the challenge to seize the day, to live fully, to embrace each and every moment as a gift....
… and so today, as King Arthur attended his co-curricular activity, I purposefully chose to be present with Aragorn and Belle, and deliberately took them to a much asked for playground (inspite of the weather!) – and played WITH them....
And the result? My being fully present with them, my playing with them, my chosing to LIVE?
Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose! (with apologies to Friday Night Lights!)
